Yes! There's a follow-up!
I've basically been avoiding him since it happened (he waves from his passing car and I look away.) He says hello and I say hi quickly and look away. No chatting.
Today he came over when I was outside and apologized! He was super vague and I still don't know why he did it. He said his (elderly) mother has an issue with the bathroom? And I guess that meant she was in there?
Still doesn't explain why he didn't just pee on his own lawn, but whatever.
He also said he had never done it before. Which is good to know.
Re: f/u to creepy neighbour peeing on my lawn
THIS.
Honestly, Beccs, this is way creepier. Way. Creepier.
Do you believe it's the first/only time?
And his mom has an issue with the bathroom? What does that even mean?
The two men in my life. Oh, and I have a husband too...

Wow. Totally awkward.
Did you give him a hug for being so open and honest?
He didn't want to kill his own lawn with his off pH pee.
Yes you should totally do this. Do it do it do it!

So many wonderful responses.
1) It was incredibly awkward. And poor Charlie witnessed the whole thing from his stroller. Poor kid.
2) Yes, he lives with his mother. He's... I'd guess 55? 60? And his mom is almost 90. And has dementia. And bad hearing. So he shouts when he talks to her.
3) I'm sorry to disappoint you J+MS (and others) for not sh!tting on his lawn. I really just couldn't find the time to drop the kids off at the... lawn.
I say what the eff to all of this. Seriously, what the eff. So many things wrong here. Where I live he could have ended up on the sex offender list for peeing in a yard. During the day. When the home occupant was home. Watching.
What the eff to it all, Beccs. At least he apologized? I think?
I know... I know. Afterward I was like "wait, I'm actually happy my neighbour apologized? For peeing in my yard?" So bizarre. But at least I don't have to awkwardly snub him now? Now I just have to go back being annoyed by him/generally creeped out by him.
I just asked DH if he'd confront our neighbor if he peed in our yard, and he said something along the lines of no way, b.c if he's crazy enough to pee in our yard theres no telling what else he might do if confronted. The man makes a point
You did the right thing. This makes me laugh though. People are strange.
That's exactly what my H said when I called him at work and told him it happened! (I think I said that in the original post.) He's like "I'm scared he'll do something even worse next if I call him on it!"
