pictures!
Two weeks there and not a drop of rain! It was great! Although, I was very surprised by how anti-pedestrian-friendly everywhere but London is.
Okay, sorry for keeping it brief, but we're off to an infant massage class. I just wanted to say hello and share the pic link
I hope all is well!
Re: Back from the UK :)
that's so awesome!
welcome back
Thanks!
Oh, and travel tip for those with an infant in lap:
baby is NOT free. Unexpected $600 purchase at the airport really taught us that lesson
WHAT!!?? I would have died! I thought free meant....well free!
Great pictures! I bet it was so fun and easy wearing him all over the place like that! I always thought babies that age were still kinda easy for travel (depending on their personality I guess). Looks like a great time!
Welcome home!

Say what????!?

Thanks, nsees!
It really was! And he loved it, too. And the trip really got me over my fear of NIP.
Oh, and international travel with an infant means you have to pay 10% of the base fare of a normal ticket price, PLUS full prices taxes and fees which came out to $300 each way.. we found out at our layover in Toronto. Ugh...
yes, lap kids are 60% on transatlantic flights. It sucks. At that cost you might as well save youself he headache and buy a ticket I always thought.
I have to ask, though, about the anti-pedestrian friendly comment. I lived there and walked everywhere or took public transport. I can't imagine a more pedestrian friendly city.
Maybe it just comes from my perspective living in a very very pedestrian friendly area. It was strange to me that crosswalks aren't marked, the crossing signal gives you 10 seconds or less, and drivers just don't stop, even when you're in the middle of crossing! This is just what I experienced everywhere but London and the south [We went to Dover Castle and stayed with friends in Broadstairs.]
yay!
May I add you?
