39 week, 3 day pregnancy update...

I had my 39 week dr appt today. I am one centimeter dialated but he says her head is still floating and not engaged.

My next appt is on Monday (40 weeks, 3 days) and depending on my progress we may be talking about induction later in the week. ;-(

I am a little frustrated and have mixed feelings about the whole thing... I really really really really want to go into labor on my own, BUT I really really really really don't want to be pregnant for 42 weeks either...

Please cross your fingers that things start moving along for me. I've tried all the "home remedies." I'm walking 2-3 miles a day, dh and I are having sex, and I've been bouncing on the birthing ball, etc. (Can you think of anything else I haven't tried?)

castor oil or an enema... they'll cause some contractions which ciould get things going. not pleasant, but it might work!

I've heard castor oil works really well and maybe try some spicy food. Try to stay positive and she will be here soon. She'll come once she's completely ready in there

I'm so sorry - what a bummer! Know that if she's not engaged no amount of trying to smoke her out (try Chinese food) or induction will help. She has to engage to come out, at least that's my understanding. That's why I ended up with a c-section instead of an induction, I wasn't favorable. The good news is it could change any day. Also know that waiting one more week really isn't as bad as it seems (although I know how anxious you are). You should ask Virginia about that.

I was just about to post. I had a dream last night, that although you had gone past your 40wks, by a couple of days, you went into labor.

I can't remember the entire dream, cause Ayden woke me up in the middle of it, but I know you were out to dinner, with DH, and then went to a movie, somehow there was a long walk in there somewhere, and that's when you felt the water trickle down your leg. That's all I remember.

I hope she engages soon, and we can meet baby Nadia.
