belly button rings

Whose keeping theirs in as long as possible, whose taking them out asap, and whose getting the pregnancy belly rings?

For me, I took mine out the min I got BFP but I just bought a pregnancy belly ring to have throughout the whole pregnancy.

Re: belly button rings

  • i'm keeping my normal ring in as long as possible. i asked my doctor if it was okay and she said it was fine as long as i was comfortable. if i have to, i will buy a pregnancy ring. i'm dark complected and my scars don't turn pink, they turn brown.. so i hope to avoid taking it out and having a dark brown scar on my belly. plus, after having the ring for 9+ years.. i don't like the way my stomach looks without it!

  • Mine is actually scared from being so streched from my other two, so it's ugly either way now. But like you, I dont like how my belly looks without one!!

  • My friend had a pregnancy ring and it looked sooo icky. I'm leaving my piercing in for now, but I will probably not keep it in much longer because through semi-tight shirts it looks like I have an outie belly button already because of my bump and the ring sticking out.

  • Also, I heard if you put the piercing in once or twice every week (just run it through and take it out) you will not close up if you've had it pierced for awhile.

  • I took mine out during my first pregnancy.  I have to many friends that got really ugly stretching scars from keeping theirs in.  Mine closed pretty quick and it doesn't bother me at all to not have it anymore.

  • I took mine out a few weeks ago. I think I look weird without it... :)

  • I took mine out before I ever got pregnant but there's still a small hole which I'm sure will look really ugly when it stretches out so I regret ever having it Sad I do still have two *other* piercings that will have to go very soon as well.

I took mine out around week 8 because it was catching on things and bothering me.  I don't plan on putting it back in b/c I doubt this twin belly will ever again see the light of day, LOL.  It did take me a while to get used to how my belly looked without it though!

  • I took mine out when I was pregnant with DD, they didnt really have pregnancy rings when I had her. I don't miss it, by the time I had DD it had closed up.

  • DH and I discussed this. He wants me to keep it, so I'm going to buy a pregnancy ring.

  • I took mine out just yesterday because it was starting to get annoying.  I feel weird without it though.  It feels odd and looks odd.  I'm thinking I'm going to get a pregnancy belly ring??

  • I haven't decided what I want to do yet.  Right now, I still have my regular ring, but I am not sure how long that will last as I am already showing a lot.  Might go for the pregnancy ring.  DH is more for that too.
