  • Autism can't kill you. Some of the diseases prevented by the vaccinations can. That's what I think.

DS will be receiving his 2 month vaccinations Friday. I just find it interesting that this keeps coming up.
  • There are so many flaws in that analysis in the Fox News article it's the definition of irresponisble journalism.

I agree! If the number of shots your LO will be getting at once makes you nervous then space them out. DS never got more than 2 shots at once and we'll do the same this time around.

  • Bleh. Sam will be fully vaccinated, I've seen what these diseases can do and I'm not interested in letting my son chance getting them

Sorry, you lost me at "Fox News."

I think the whole thing is a load of crap, and I will be vaccinating my child against deadly diseases without hesitation.

If I vaccinate my dog to keep him healthy why wouldn't I vaccinate my child?

The false vaccine-autism link has already been publicly debunked. I'm done with the whole thing.

This.  And didn't the doctor who did the original "study" linking vaccines and autism lose his license?

I feel bad for the somali refugee community in MN--they have an extraordinarily high rate of autism, but to me that points to something genetic or some genetic-environmental interaction rather than vaccines.

also--research resources should be spent somewhere else. It's beyond clear that vaccines aren't the problem--why not research treatment for autism? Or if you must look for the cause, let's spend some time on other risk factors!
