I'm already getting asked what people can get DD for her birthday in July and I have no idea what to suggest.
She already has a dollhouse, play kitchen, snap n style dolls, tons of books (they are all pretty much her fav things to play with inside).... I'm thinking of getting her a sand/water table for outside because we dont really have any large outside toys to play with but i'd prob get it for her now... We dont have room for a swingset and dont have a flat place that she can ride a bicycle.
What else? Anything specific that they got for their birthday that they loved?
Re: What are your 3 year old's fav toys/birthday gifts?
A sand and water table is a good idea; DD2 got this one for her first birthday, and DD1 is having a blast with it. Another one of DD2's birthday gifts that we haven't used yet but I'm sure they'll love over the summer is the M&D Sunny Patch Tootin' Turtle sprinkler.
DD is majorly into princesses now, through none of my doing. lol. For her third birthday, her aunt got her a set of all these little Disney figures, with Mickey, Nemo, Woody, all the favorite movie characters, of course including the princesses, and she brings those princesses with her everywhere. She is all about pretend play now, so even though those little figures look boring to me, she has so much fun making up stories and adventures for them.
Other birthday/Christmas gifts that were hits: Zhu Zhu Pets (she has two pets, the tree house, the beauty salon, and the double stroller with two babies); an Aquadoodle draw 'n doodle jumbo mat; and the B. Meowsic keyboard.
She also loves Highlights Magazine Hidden Pictures magazine; she especially loves the ones with pictures so we also get the Hidden Pictures Sticker Fun supplement.
She loves drawing (especially with markers for some reason), coloring, painting, all that stuff, so art supplies are always a hit with her. Her easel was a big hit when she was 2, but now she usually prefers sitting at her table.
Otherwise she plays with her dollhouse and play kitchen, but you already have those!
* dress up set -- got it at Costco around Christmas and had 3 different princess dresses. She also got princess shoes and loves them. Any dress up stuff is good.
* sand or water table would be good although I'd probably go for water as the sand tracks everywhere.
* fishing set from Lakeshore Learning -- a TON of magnetic fish and 4 fishing poles. It's great because both kids and them some can play and everyone can catch plenty of fish.
* MORE books -- yeah we have a ton too
* if she doesn't have a doll stroller and bed, consider that or something like a shopping cart. The kids love putting things in the stroller and grocery cart and pushing them around.
* art easel (actually a Christmas present but both love it)
* art supplies -- blank paper tablet, crayons, puff balls, glue, stickers, gems, etc.

DD has been really big into puzzles lately. She never really cared for the wooden ones that the pieces fit in, but she loves to do floor puzzles now. I have gotten her a couple of the Melissa & Doug ones, and they are really nice quality with thick pieces. Also, arts & crafts. She loves to paint.
Disney Princess (Barbie style) dolls, Barbie dolls, baby dolls, doll stroller, Belle Tea Cart, wooden Melissa & Doug castle with small princess dolls, M&D play food sets (birthday cake and cupcake set are favs).
Outside her favorite thing is her play house, she has a set of dishes out there and a couple chairs, she'll stay out there for a couple hours playing.
The boys are into puzzles right now. Jigsaw, not the kind with the shapes in the board.
They got a dollhouse (I mean, uh, gender-neutral playset) for their big birthday gift, but they hardly ever play with it. They do, however, use their train table a lot. Low tables are good for more than trains. The height is good for lots of things.

My blog * We made the national news!
Does she have any board games? Chutes and Ladders? CandyLand? Ants in the Pants? Cootie?
What about the butterfly pavillion? (where you send away for live caterpillars and you watch them make a cocoon and then turn into butterflies) That was a HUGE hit with Gisele- (she is REALLY into science) (it is one of my go to birthday presents for 3/4yr olds)
Sounds simple- but what about a magnifying glass? (plastic one) gisele ALWAYS has to take one on her nature walks
Planting stuff? seeds/shovel? DD is really into playing in dirt and planting seeds
soceer ball? t-ball/bat?
My DS loves puzzles. He can do the 48 piece floor puzzles and also has some smaller ones he's good at, too.
He also is really into board games. Matching games, Zingo, and Candyland are particular favorites right now.
DD loves her babies.
