We have a number of pregnant women here and one of them was due July 1st. We just got the news that they lost their baby earlier today. I am still in shock. These things make me freak out ever more, just when you think that nothing can go wrong anymore you hear a news like this.
Scary!
Just had to share with someone as I am still shaking. I can't even imagine how she is feeling now.
Re: Sad news at the office
OMGosh, that is aweful. It's true though, that you never really are safe until that baby is born, but then there are a whole other set of worries to think about. I wish I could get a ultrasound every week to ensure the baby is doing well. The time between appointments is horrible.

I'm so sorry to hear that. My mother lost her first baby in the ninth month - it's something that never goes away.
Thoughts and prayers to your coworker.

And... you thought that sharing this information with a bunch of pregnant women was a good idea?
In my bag: Nikon D90; 35mm 1.8, 90mm 2.8 macro (my fave), Lensbaby Composer with macro extensions. BFP after 13 cycles and one ectopic. Lost left tube 5/19/10.
That's horrible and heartbreaking, but please don't let it scare you.
There are a million (zillion!) things that can go wrong during pregnancy, and even more once the baby is here. If you worry about everything, you'll never be able to enjoy your pregnancy or your baby.
This is coming from a neurotic mom, who freaks on the inside everytime DS goes down the big slide at the playground.
Happened to me last year with my babies.. and believe me not a day goes by that I don't think or freak out about this pregnancy.
My T&P's are with her that she can find some comfort in the coming future.
