Has anyone delivered at Paradise Valley? I'm looking for feedback.
During my last pregnancy, I delivered at Scottsdale Healthcare and loved it. I have a new ob and she delivers at PV. I really like her, but may consider switching - just so I can stay at the hospital I like.
Your thoughts and stories are appreciated.
Re: Hospital Feedback
I have been wondering the same thing.
My OB delivers at both PV and Scottsdale Shea and she actually likes PV more. She said if you are high risk, Scottsdale is better (they have a Level III NICU), but that you will receive more attention and better care from the nurses at PV. She also said that she doesn't have any patients that have delivered at Scottsdale the first time and PV the second time that don't like PV more.
However, I haven't heard the greatest things about PV... maybe its just the hospital itself and not L&D?
I dont know anyone who has delivered there, but we did have a friend who was incredibly ill and received stellar care at PV.
The nurses were INCREDIBLE.
I think I am the only one who had a bad experience at Shea, but I did. I have many friends who delivered there and loved it, but for us, it was just one thing after another. None in itself were major (well, except the epidural never took, but I don't blame the hospital for that) but when you put it all together, it was bad. We are hoping to deliver at PV next time- but it means finding a new Dr.I will say, the food was good though!
My husband's dental hygenist delivered all her kids there and said it was great. Not at all why we want PV (it is just close, really) but it is a recommendation none the less!
