Monroe is tolerable - not my favorite, but not horrifying. I'm assuming it's a tribute to Marilyn Monroe, since naming kids after old movie stars seems to be a trend right now?
Moroccan is hideous. I mean, I know Dashiell isn't everyone's taste (I got the side eye from someone the other day for the first time), but I like to think it's better than that lol!
ETA: You know what I think a large part of my objection to Moroccan is? Shouldn't it be Morocco? Even then I wouldn't like it, but it seems weirder with the -an (even if it is after a room...which is also pretty weird lol).

YES! This! I don't love Morocco any better, but at least it's not an adjective. An adjective for a name is just awkward.

I completely agree with this. Also, if you have b/g twins, I think one name should be completely masculine and one name completely feminine. I wouldn't have a clue which was the boy vs girl name.

The part that I think is weird, but not surprising, is that they share the same first sounds as Mariah. What about honoring Dad?! She's the queen, I guess!

She's the more famous one and therefore more important, naturally.
As a side note, it always vaguely annoys me when people give their twins names starting with the same letter. Not as bad as rhyming them, but still just a bit too close...
Monroe reminds me of the awkward guy from Too Close For Comfort (a sitcom from the 80s), so to me I'd think that was the boy. Too weird for me. Not that the other one is any better!
Re: WDYT about Mariah Carey's twins names?
monroe = cute
moroccan = eh. not a fan. i read she named him after a room in their house where they were engaged. cute nickname though.
