1st appt update

in Pregnant after a Loss

had my first appt today and of course they went through the regular paperwork, urine. and then i had an ultrasound. today i am 6 weeks (or because i ovulated a little later than i thought i think its more like 5w 5d) and i measured 6 weeks. but the heart rate was 103bpm. doctor said that is fine for this week bc the heart just starts to beat now and it will get faster. i am going next week for another us to make sure. so of course now i am going nuts worrying.

if you had an early us what was the hr?

DC:#1 10/2006 born at 40 weeks (33 weeks PTL)

    I just had my 2nd ultrasound today and measured 6 weeks 1 day and the hr was 113.  I had a friend tell me today that was low which kinda made me think "oh no!!" and start to worry but then I reminded myself that she didn't have her 1st ultrasound until she was 8 weeks . . . a lot can change in just a week or 2!  I was told that was good for just 6 weeks so I'm placing my trust in what my doctor told me!  Some people I don't think even hear/see the heartbeat this early so I consider myself lucky and I would say that you shouldn't worry it's still very early yet!

    Congrats on the great first appt. LOs heartrate was 121 around the end of week 6, if I recall.

    Check out this site it has a really good chart to go by for fetal heart rate development.

    According to this chart if you are only around 5W 5D then you are on the higher end of where you need to be and you are fine and even if you are 6 weeks you are still within the range so don't worry (<----- I know that's next to impossible) but it looks good!

    That sounds like a great u/s!  With my last pg, the hr was around 100 and the baby measured 6w.  With this one, they didn't measure it at the 6w u/s.
