DH and I thought it would be cute to make a custom wall decal with a Beatles quote to put over his crib (since his name is Beatles inspired).
The running favorite now is a simple "All you need is love." Also in the running (these are also George solo songs since his name is George-inspired):
Edit to add: Oh yes, and the question is, which quote should I use? Picking from these, or submitting a new one to consider.
it's all too much
when i look into your eyes
your love is there for me
and the more i go inside
the more there is to see
it's all too much for me to take
the love that's shining all around you
long long long
it took a long long long time
now i'm so happy i found you
how i love you
old brown shoe
baby i'm in love with you
i'm so glad you came here
it won't be the same now, i'm telling you
for you blue
i loved you from the moment i saw you
you looked at me and that's all you had to do
i feel it now i hope you feel it too
what is life
and tell me what is my life
without your love? and tell me,
who am i without you by my side?
learning how to love you
while all is still in the night
and silence starts its flower
become or disbelieve me
left alone with my heart
i'm learning how to love you
soft touch baby
you're a soft touch baby
like a snow flake falling
my whole heart is melting
Re: Beatles fans--help me with the nursery
Maybe not baby-ish (and not George!).... but my favorites are:
"And when the night is cloudy, there is still a light, that shines on me, shine until tomorrow, let it be"
and of course...
I *love* this.
Is his name Harrison? That was my second choice for a boy. But since she's a she, it's not really relevant anymore.
My favorite George song is "I Need You". Not too much that's wall-decalable except "Love you all the time and never leave you."
Would you consider lyrics sung by George, but not necessarily written by George?
Also, if you don't get your DS a Beatles onsie, it would be a crime. I already have two for Morgan.
Yes! His name is Harrison.
Definitely would consider lyrics sung by George! Hit me with your ideas. I was looking at Beatles onesies today . . . adorable!
Both good ideas! DH and I are going to go over them tonight to get this up and running soon. Thanks!
I feel like I am such a blog wh0re since I always have an answer based on something I read in a blog. This was a quote a friend of mine used in her babies' nursery which I thought was really cute:

I really like:
you're a soft touch baby
like a snow flake falling
my whole heart is melting
I think a lot of the other ones are way over used as quotes and I know I would want something for my child that is unique and makes them feel special.
I think it depends on whether or not you want people who aren't HUGE Beatles fans to know automatically that that is your theme.
I would probably use more "known" lyrics like "All you need is love" and Windsongs suggestion "You may say that I'm a dreamer , But I'm not the only one", which I totally second on having that over the crib. Kudos on that idea.
LOVE this option!
From your list Brit I really like "i loved you from the moment i saw you
you looked at me and that's all you had to do." Good luck picking one!
I love that you are naming your baby Harrison. He was my favorite Beatle too! I think he wrote the best Beatles songs!
So, that said, I think you should stick with a song he wrote. People in the pp's keep suggesting lyrics from Imagine, but I know you know that this was not a Beatles song but John Lennon's song so George had nothing to do with it!
I think you should go with one of the ones you have listed to keep with the Harrison/Beatles theme- as opposed to a Lennon song (so IMO "All you need is love" would be out since Lennon wrote that one too).
Personally, I like the lyrics from "For You Blue" and "Soft Touch Baby" the best! I want to see updates on this nursery! I think it is going to be great!
