1. I have my monthly meeting with my supervisor in an hour. Ugh.
2. Daycare just told me that LO fell while holding a toy and will probably have a black eye next time I see her.
3. #2 really really sucks because I was going to take her to get her passport photo today. Damnit!
4. I have two robin's nests in my yard. One had 4 eggs, all of which feel out/taken by other birds. The other nest currently has 3 baby chicks chirping away in it :-)
5. At what point do you start to worry about a coworker that hasn't shown up to work?
6. I really need to prep for #1
7. Some days I worry about K a lot.
8. The Southwest Ding today has me thinking about snagging ticket to D.C. for the end of June.
9. My best Mother's Day moment came when I received a card from one of my SILs.
10. Okay, off to prep for my meeting.
1. We kept A out of school yesterday and celebrated Mother's Day by going to LA to the Space and Air museum, the Science Center, and the Natural History museum, then we drove to Hollywood to the Disney Soda Fountain. It was fun!
2. I think we should do #1 everyday, Iz was knocked out in the car on the way home and didn't fight going to bed.
3. At the Natural History Museum, there are two huge dinosaur skeletons on display when you walk in and I asked the girls to pose in front of them for a picture... Iz ran under the ropes and I had to yell at her to get out before she set off the alarms.
4. I want coffee. Zzzzzz.
5. I'm supposed to bake cupcakes for my SIL's baby shower this weekend but I don't know how many or what flavor so I haven't been able to give MIL a price. I will probably end up doing them for free.
6. Iz has been with us for a month this Thursday!
7. Only 4 more weeks of school left for A!
8. I can't wait to go camping. Tahoe, here we come!!! (I hope)
9. 3 weeks until our foster/adoption agency's yearly benefit at the water park!
10. Why do people think my AA daughter doesn't need sunblock?
Two Mommies Healing Hearts
1. our anatomy scan is at 2:45 today. I couldn't sleep, I am so anxious just to hear 'healthy baby'!
2. After 4 or 5 u/s and the integrated screening, you would think I would be at ease..
3. I'm not.
4. Even though I left my job 1.5 weeks ago, it wasn't until this morning that I felt 'officially' finished. I had a paper to write on a project that just ended and I submitted it yesterday!! It feels weird to not have work lingering over me.
5. Is it awful that I hope K's softball game is rained out tonight? We have the scan at 2:45 and then my monthly ob apt at 4:15 and it is an hour from home. We would have to drive right back to the hospital for her game at 8pm and she has another game on Thursday... Come on rain!
6. K took the day off to be sure not to miss a moment of the scan and she is, apparently, taking full advantage of her day off.. she is still sleeping! I am a ball of nerves and she is snoozing away.. maybe I will go make noise..
7. I am obsessed with books. I have already bought nearly 100 used/like new books from Borders for the baby. They only cost like $1.04 each and out of the 100 I have bought, only 5 have shown any signs of wear. About 25 of them are brand new!
8. I read to the baby every day.. K is starting to read 1 book every night. I think she feels silly but, she loves me
9. Speaking of.. after she read last night the baby started kicking like crazy - the look on K's face when the baby landed a super hard kick right on her hand, was priceless! She almost looked scared! We think she has felt it before, but not like last night. I started laughing so hard, it felt like I pulled my stomach muscles.
10. I love being pregnant.
1) We are going to Day out with Tomas this weekend and Sprout is BEYOND excited. I hope it lives up to his hype.
2) I'm glad with went iwht the thomas bday party theme - he's super into it these days.
3) 2 weeks until vaca and i cant wait. I plan to spend copious amounts of time in the hot tub and on the beach.
4) thank goodness bio mom approved that vaca a while back 'cause with the recent developments, things are getting shakey.
5) 1 week until RB's 3rd attempt at surgery. lets hope she stays healthy - i really want this behind us.
6) knock on wood, fingers crossed, and twirl 3 times...Daisy seems to be a much better teether than RB!
7) DW and i stayed up late last night whispering in bed about adoption party day dreams
its fun that she's also caught the bug
8) I think RB read my post the other day...she's been so pleasent and lovey the past couple days!
9) i wish 10:20 was an acceptable lunch time. i'm starving.
10) I can't believe that we are actually at the point of talking about tpr and adoption. i never thought we'd get here. absolutely wild.
Blogs: Our Growing Family - CT Working Moms
1. I can't believe it is only Tuesday. Yesterday was crazy at work and made up for the entire week. But I am going to a workshop Friday so at least I will be out of the office! Yay!
2. We invited the 20 other kids in their class to their party this weekend.. 4 have RSVP'd. The RSVPs are due today, but I doubt I will have 16 messages when I get home. What is wrong with people?
3. The kids are going on a field trip to the zoo today. Neither L nor I are going to chaperone (I am going to the end of the year picnic in 2 weeks) but the kids made us feel so guilty last night about not going.
4. I really liked CT's blog post yesterday!
5. I hope that the kids are better behaved this afternoon. Yesterday they had the emotional outbursts of a couple of 13y old girls.
6. I hope there are a lot of kids at the playground who are their age when we get home. It is so fun to watch them running around with the other kids and having a blast! Plus, it makes bedtime much easier!
7. I am having dinner tomorrow night with a friend. I need to decide where to go.
8. I am starving. Absoltely starving, which makes no sense because I stopped and got the kids pancakes/eggs this morning since they were going on a field trip and I didn't know if they were having a morning snack. And of course I got something too.
9. N2A - I do think that relationships changes exponentially when you have more than 1 child. And I definitely think it changes with twins in those first few years. I look back and am not sure how we survived the first 2.5y. Good news is that is does get easier and there are now days when I am so thankful we had twins (I wasn't always so sure about that!
)
10. i just realized that people might have texted their RSVP to the number on the invite. But that is our home number. Sigh. Now off to make a flier to put in the boxes this afternoon with a number where people can text.
Is that really what our world is coming to? Texting RSVPs? ::shakeshead::

1. Well look at that- I'm actually able to get online on a Tuesday and do a TTT! Yay!
2. I've missed my bumping time
Its just a fun break from school work and what not.
3. Speaking of school, in a week, I register for my last quarter of classes
I'm so excited to be this close to being done.
4. If you love sappy chick-flicks, go see Something Borrowed! Its based on a book by Emily Giffin and its so good! I've read the book probably 30 times and the movie is just as good. Best part, there's a sequel and I really want to see that as a movie, so this movie needs to make money! Ok, I'm done with that now lol
5. My baby also turns 1 in 11 days and I'm freaking out! I've been such an emotional mess about it I could hardly get anything put together for her birthday party!
6. I love cake and I hate that its usually only for special occasions, so I am excited to eat cake.
7. I'm also super disappointed- I've re-taken up running, and I've been pretty much beating myself up over it and I've only lost 3 pounds.
8. I have a project to do on gastric bypass surgery- its really eye-opening and I'd really like to find someone who's had the surgery with success and who's had the surgery with complications and interview them as part of my project. Maybe a career in bariatrics is in the future?
9. Its supposed to be 82 degrees here today! I'm so excited to have the day off!
10. The nice weather makes me want to pick LO up from daycare early and just spend the entire day at the park! And, B forgot to pack her sunscreen and hat, and I'm really nervous about her getting sunburned so that makes me want to go get her too! Here's to finishing my project ASAP so I can go pick up my baby!
1. I'm nervous that my numbers aren't doubling the way they should. I'll have one more draw tomorrow and the RE will probably be bringing me in at the end of the week to look at things because of some worry. I'll be 6 weeks.
2. I want to go somewhere and just walk and walk and walk.
3. I already went up to the cafeteria and got a little something to tide me over until lunch because I was starving.
4. I'm so tired today.
5. I'm craving Chipotle. maybe I'll see if my wife wants it for dinner...
6. oh jeez, I started this like an hour ago.
7. yesterday was such a nice day, and it looks pretty nice out today, too. I'm so glad it's finally getting warm here.
8. I really hope things go well this week.
9. my baby is finally starting to talk just a wee bit.

1. I'm back at work this week and not loving it.
2. Probably because I was a little behind (I think that might be chronic in my field!) before I left, and now all that paperwork is a week later.
3. We get to suffer from increased scrutiny because stupid people in another agency in another borough didn't do their job and children got hurt.
4. I got Dunkin Donuts for breakfast this morning. Trying to do less of that...
5. I have no time for my surgery follow up appointment and DW says I'm not taking care of myself.
6. We're going away for a 3-day weekend at a B&B we love on Thursday night. I can't wait.
7. I keep getting phone calls and emails I don't want to deal with, but I should probably go do that instaed of complaining.
8. The weather is amazing.

Cautiously optimistic.
1. I went back to work last night. I never realized how much my job uses my arm. I am hurting today.
2. Annie was not thrilled with our going back to work routine. She used to sleep through dropoff.... this morning she was up.
3. Number 2 led to this being a bad morning. I asked Carol if we got the two year waranty on Annie - we could trade in for the model in less crabby working condition we used to have.
4. I can't believe I will have a 2 year old in less than 2 weeks. Where did the time go?
5. I want really good thai food. I don't have any within an hour of me unless I go into NYC.
6. We have been looking for a new dog. So far we have seen 4 and none of them would mesh with our family.
7. I am still upset about having to give Seamus back even though I know it was best at the time. Seeing his picture brings tears to my eyes.
8. I am so ready to go to bed. I am all out of practice for the night shift.
9. I am really missing my mom and dad and don't have a plan to get home again anytime soon.
10. I have to wake Annie up from her nap to go to her Nana's now so I can sleep before work. I am hoping the nap worked away the crabbys.
1) Saw Dr. for weekly visit he was once again so happy we made it another week. Melanie is off the indocine( meds to stop Pre term Labor ) he gave us a 2 week break but she will still need P17 shots once a week. He thinks she will not make it full term. ( I HOPE HE IS WRONG)
2) I need to get this house in order and unpack and put stuff away. Its so hard working all day and taking care of DW and Dog and then when I have time to chill I should be unpacking. Its coming along though just wish we did not have to move in and start living rioght away ... would like to have movved in and unpacked and then live (does that make sense)
3) I am geting nervous . No names picked out, no nursery ready, nothing done and Dos Babies could come now ... eek .
4) Made new friends via the LGBT We Are Family group we are board members of and they live around the corner... Love this!
5)Have been doing a crummy job paying attention to taking my vitamins and meds for my bypass and keeping up on my protein ... have been same weight for 2 weeks UGG.
6) came to the realization that I can not please everyone and I have to be ok with this. Its a tough one for me.
7) Still waiting for Melanie to get in to that pregnant Nesting mode.
8)I need new bras from loosing all this weight but am too cheap to buy anything- that is so bad... maybe I'll go back to binding ..Hmm
9) Our new friend adopted a baby boy and they both nursed him or tried to and now I am once again interested in helping Melanie as she wants to Exclusively Breast Feed the DUO ... I want that bond - ok so maybe no binding ??
10)We have a lot of weeds- I hope the grass grows soon

1) I am beginning to think people do not listen when they are on the phone. I have had to repeat myself on almost EVERY call today.
2) I wish people would realize that just because they are not listening, does not mean I am not listening. Which means please do NOT spell your entire name and mailing address. Also you can say the numbers a little faster people...
3) We are moving desks tomorrow. I am sad because I will not be by anyone I can talk with anymore...what am I going to do with my day???
4) My wife called me in a panic because she had just used the last diaper. I kindly pointed out is she opened Ky's closet she would find 1/4 of a case.
5) On my lunch break, Ky leaned her head WAY back and suddenly Ann exclaimed, "Tooth!". Sure enough you can see the white line under the surface on one side of her top gums!
6) Ann was taking Ky to the park today after my lunch break. I am sad to miss her first trip there
7) We talked about goign to the new Italian restaurant in town for dinner....but then we had leftover lasagna for dinner so who knows.
8) I am so tired today....
9) I wish I had not packed up my Tums when I packed my desk earlier....stupid lasagna heartburn.

1. It is beautiful outside!
2. I went and had lunch with DW since I am off this week. My first time eating Mongolian BBQ and DW got mad at me because I was just going to eat meat and veggies. I laughed and just added the noodles to my plate.
3. After lunch I went to Target and walked around since I have a Giftcard, then to Bed, Bath and Beyond. I finally picked up a Olive Oil bottle I have been wanting. I walked into Babies R Us after that, my first time. Sadly, I wasn't interested in anything in there. Like nothing! My mom always said "I have expensive taste and bare money!"
4. I need to paint the office, which will be the LO room when I get KU, but DW has a thousand papers on her desk which I do not feel like bothering with. She also has a treadmill in there from the stone ages that her mom gave her. I have been trying to get her to get rid of it since we are going to the gym but she doesn't want to.
5. Because of 4, I don't think the room will get painted this week.
6. I purchased my plane ticket yesterday for grad school orientation in Kentucky. I am really looking forward to going and getting away for a couple of days.
7. I bought DW and I a bathing suit form Athleta today. They were on sale and it is looking like we will be renting a beach house in the Outer Banks this summer. So looking forward to it!!!
8. Because of 7, 6, and trying to get KU, it is going to be a busy summer.
9. I need to go to the gym or Yoga or something this week. I need to lose some weight. Maybe we will go for a walk tonight since it is so pretty outside.
