    Sorry, I did not want to come off as one of those pushy people "selling something"...because we are not selling anything- in fact we are giving something away for free. We are doing our best to provide photography to people who would not otherwise be able to afford an opportunity of family photos. We just try to do this in a fun way.... I did not mean to upset anyone and am not a "regular" on the bump boards. My apologies that you took it as such a negative thing.

    I didn't take it as anything more than what it is. 

    A blatant violation of the nest/bump/knot's TOS.

    wow - i'm new to these boards and have really enjoyed all of the information, but have yet to post.  just wanted to say thanks to johnstonnic for the information...a good chance for someone to win a great opportunity.

     if you don't want to enter/look at the contest - then simply don't . but my goodness, they were just trying to spread some information, no need to go all postal on them for writing a post on the bump message boards.

    no, it's not about passing on information, newb. 

    The person who posted the contest IS the photographer.

    When you signed up for the bump/nest/knot, you agreed to the terms of service. Promoting YOUR OWN BUSINESS is a violation of that agreement. Period.

    If a client of theirs came here and said, "hey, the people we use to take my LO's pictures is giving away a photo session, here's the info" that would be ok.

    It is NOT ok for the business themselves to spam these boards.

    I'm so farking sick of the vendors lately. Blatantly disregarding the TOS here makes people NOT want to use your service/buy your product, but it's even worse when the product in question sucks (as in this case). 

     

    There are a LOT of photographers that post on the MN baby and nest boards. You will never see a post like this from them, because they respect the TOS...and that's part of why people choose to use them (that, and they're actually quality photographers)

    even if you are giving something away it's still not allowed here as it's a form of advertising.  

     

    Also I read your rules of your contest & it only covers the sitting fee so the family would still need to buy the prints so you are selling something
