I decided to keep it. The more I thought of it, like you all pointed out, it was such a great thoughtful gift and it just reminds me of such sweet effort that I can't give it back. I know that he wouldn't be hurt by my returning it, just disappointed his gift "failed" so we'll just avoid that altogether. Thanks for the advice!

Oh good! I was so afraid you'd return it. I mean it WAS autographed and all. So glad you're happy and you can remember his thoughtfulness everytime you look at it. Soooo sweet!
