We're using size 6 huggies overnights, we make Noah go pee before bed and we cut off liquids after 7pm and he's still peeing through his diapers almost every night and waking up more than an hour sooner than his usual time. I'm already not getting any sleep, so this doesn't help at all. I try to get him to go back to bed after I change him, but he refuses, so he's exhausted and grumpy all day.
Do any of the pull ups work better than the diapers? We've got to find something else!
Re: Overnight diapers/pull ups
It's been my personal experience that the pull-ups, even the overnight ones, are less absorbent than diapers. We had more leaks and bigger messes when we tried to switch to those as an overnight solution. The only thing I can think of is that those are really intended to be for children that are potty training, so they're holding their bladders better at night than a kid in diapers. It's the only explanation that made any sense to me.
We had the best luck with double diapering Justin. I ended up using a Target diaper underneath (they are extremely absorbent IMO) with a Huggies ON diaper on top. It was a pricey solution, but it was the only thing that worked for him till he was potty trained. Now, we use pull-ups at night, but he doesn't pee nearly so much at night as he used to before PT.
