Oh my gaaaawd (major TMI)

My period is still going full blown and now that I didn't reinsert Nuvaring(going to switch) it is more period like and less spotting period. About two hours ago I started having a lot of sharp cramping and I thought it was just weird period cramping. (graphic part coming)

When I just went to the bathroom a 4 inch long and 1 in wide piece of skin looking thing came out. I felt something coming out and had to pull it out. I would call my OB but they are closed for the day. I am a little nervous because of the whole c-section thing.

Anyone have an idea what it was? Is that normal?

    That doesn't sound too normal.. I'd call your doctor on their off hours number and see what they think!  Good luck!

    Yeah. I learned my lesson last time I had a cyst. When in doubt of what comes out, save it otherwise you get no answers.

    I would defintely call the on call number. With ds1 I bled for 3 months before they finally did a d&c. There was really no explanation for the bleeding but the d&c solved the problem.

    Double ziplock baggie in a tissue, lol. I saw it once and do not want to see it again.

    I would think awkward would be the point where the OB wants to take it out of the bag to look at it. It makes me want to Ick! so how can someone else look at it? Disgusting..blegh.

    If they suggest something like that I am going to smack my head against the freakin' wall. I just had a procedure to burn off skin that didn't heal right from my tear during my failed vaginal.

    It kinda sounds like a little bit of placenta. That would explain the prolonged bleeding, it was probably the part where the 'roots' were and the bleeding may have been from when the roots were slowly coming away from your ute. It's a good thing you saved it. You don't feel ill, do you? Because if it was a piece of ute, you could have a nasty infection going on in there. Get seen ASAP- like, if they don't see you tomorrow then go to the ER.

    I feel fine besides the cramping. I am calling right when they open tomorrow to get me in and they should be able to squeeze me in. They are usually pretty good at getting people in when it is urgent so I am sure they can squeeze me in.
