Can I stay here?

I just got off the phone with my doctor. He was discussing LO with some pediatric surgeons at a level 3 hospital an hour away. They're working on setting up an appointment with me so we can all get together and discuss our birth plan.

The surgeons are pushing for an early birth. 3-5 weeks early, in fact. Since my due date is pretty much in the middle of September, this will mean LO will be arriving in mid-late August.  Do I have to switch to the August board or can I stay with you ladies? Sad

February 19, 2010- BFP! March 14, 2010- M/C January 17, 2011- BFP! April 26th, 2011- It's a boy! Due September 20, 2011 May 2, 2011- Confirmed Gastroschisis August 7, 2011- Labor begins August 12, 2011- Max is born October 4, 2011- Max comes home!

    This, and I'm not due till the 29th so I'm pretty sure I will actually have an October baby, but I'm not planning on going anywhere!

    Yay! Thank you! I didn't want to have to make new friends again lol

    LO has gastroschisis, a condition where his intestines are on the outside. They want to have him early because there is a higher risk for still born the longer we wait. Going in early, there's about a 10% chance, but it gets higher. At least, that's what they've told me.

    Of course you can stay.  Even if you deliver in August, like some of us likely will, your baby is still gestionally a September babe!

    Oh yeah, cause after all the BFP stories, the updates, the ultrasounds, the funny posts and the drama-lamas, the FFFC's etc that you have been here with us through, we are gonna toss you out on your ear because your little one has complications and needs to come early /sarcasm.

    Of couse you can stay silly! We are here for the long haul. Wink
