Alas, I had to resort to google to find out what jorts are. According to the urban dictionary, they are acceptable for children and other assorted groups of individuals.

Justin and Tyler both have several pairs. I think of them like jeans for summer, it's so much easier to dress them because anything goes with them.
And I realize I am showing my age here, but just exactly when did jean shorts go out of style? I bought some for DH not that many years ago at Old Navy. Seriously, am I that out of it? I kind of like them and don't get the hate.
Katie, I'm with you on the age thing. I have two pair that fit me great and I wear all the time in the summer. In fact I had one pair on on Sunday. I'm not going to get rid of my jorts just yet!

I will ditto this. DS has several pairs of jean shorts because they go with just about anything. DH & I also have several pairs of jean shorts, I guess we are way behind the times.
I agree... I just don't like wearing shorts anymore unless they're so casual I only wear them around the house or work out in them. I had no clue that "jorts" were not fashionable.
B has a few but lately he's refused anything "jean." Maybe he has more fashion sense than his mommy.
DD has Jean shorts but I do not consider them jorts bc they don't go to her knees. DS has one pair but they look silly on him bc they pretty much look like capris and DH says he looks like a thug:-) DH has never owned a pair of jorts in the 9 years I've know him and I doubt he ever will:-)
Re: Jorts for toddlers?
First, love the name jorts. I just heard that for the first time last summer, it cracks me up!
But yes, very cute on toddlers.

Thank you for the link. I was on my way to google until I saw your response.
I think it is time to clean out my dresser.

I love them for DD when she's outside playing in the summer. I'm undecided on DS. I haven't found an acceptable style for him yet.
DH and I do not wear them.

DS #1 born January 2010. DS #2 due June 2014.
