None of my embies made it to freeze. I can't say I'm suprised but I am dissapointed. The embriologist was SO nice on the phone and told me that this was no indication of how well the transferred embies would do and that they took the very best for transfer, etc. But I just can't help thinking that this is a bad sign.
Did anyone have success with your IVF when none of your other embies made it to freeze?
Re: IVF success with no embies making it to freeze?
We actually had one make it to freeze, but it's very low quality and only made it to blasto stage at like day 7.
Both of the embryos we transferred (the only 2 out of 16 fertilized that made it to day 5!) were relatively low quality, but both took and we are now expecting a baby boy. Unfortunately my son's twin was a blighted ovum.
I totally know how you feel. We had 12 or so fert, transfered two and then found out in our 2ww that only 1 made it to freeze. I was convinced this meant bad news for the two we did transfer. But not the case!
Good luck to you - sending good vibes your way.
Don't give up hope yet!
I only had 6 eggs retrieved because of the endometrioma on both my ovaries so I thought I was doomed to fail from the start. However, all 6 fertilized and 3 were transferred. None of the remaining 3 made it to freeze which made it a very nerve-wracking 2ww, but now I'm pg with identical twins.
I had 11 eggs retrieved and only one fertilized and it stuck! It was an 8 cell and grade 3!!!
Stay positive!
I had 13 fert, transferred 2 blasts, and had none make it to freeze, which I thought was a bad omen. Turns out both implanted and one is still going!
Good luck!
Me! By day 5 we only had 2 of our 6 embies left. One of them decided to stick around. So, not only did none of them make it to freeze, these were the only 2 that made it to transfer day.
Best of luck to you!

I had 20 eggs, 6 fertilized, 2 were transferred, and not a single one made it to freeze. I was devastated and convinced it meant it was not going to work - it did! You only need one. I understand how you feel, but keep your chin up. GL!
None of ours made it to freeze and we were successful with IVF #1. Our other embies were not horrible but it was never really explained to us as to why none of ours made it to freeze

We did. We transfered 2 of our 4 that fertilized. They were the best (A/B quality) and were 7 and 8 cells. The other two quit growing. But the 2 they put in are still there! We got to hear their heartbeats about 2 weeks ago!
Your embryologist is right. The best ones are in you right now, so think good thoughts! Good luck!

None of mine made it to freeze and even though I got the same speech as you did, I was sure I was out b/c I had to have a 3d (and I don't think any of my embies even made it to day 5) but.....it worked!
Good luck!!
we retrieved 7, fertilized 7, 7 made it to blast, we transferred 3, and the remaining 4 arrested before day 6
I got one perfect baby!
