How do you feel about 3rd tri?

I'm just wondering as you move into 3rd tri are you relaxed about your pregnancy at this point?  Are you nervous, excited or a mix of things?  Just wondering how everyone is feeling.  I guess I'm a mix, but I tend to have a nervous personality.

Re: How do you feel about 3rd tri?

  • I'm a bit of relaxed and nervous.  I feel totally unprepared, even though I have a 7 year old!  This time around I'm definately not as prepared and need to get my butt in gear!

  • Well today is my 1st day with the 3rd Trimester and to be honest I am excited & scared. I mean it had gone by SO Fast. I am really enjoying my pregnancy and I think I will miss having my LO with me when I am at work or just feeling him kick inside me. Plus I am a worry bug and I just want everything to go over very smoothly. I do look forward though to giving birth to our baby and seeing him for the 1st time. Big Smile

This totally (although I am a couple weeks away being end of August).  I have a 4.5 yr old and last time I was ready by now.  This time... I haven't done much to prepare.  I HAVE to get my bum going!!!  LOL

  • I am excited about having our LO here with us, but feeling totally unprepared since we have not even painted the nursery yet. I am sure I will start to feel better once that is done. I also think I will relax a little once we have our showers and have some more baby stuff around the house :)

  • I actually really relaxed.  He has clothes and that's about it.  I'm sure I will absolutely go nuts the last month with nerves and fear but for now I'm just coasting through.

  • I am feeling really excited. We have most of her stuff already and it sees to be falling in place. This weekend is my big shower here at home, so we wait and see what shows up then fill in the blanks. I can't wait to get her here, meet her, see her face, see my husband be a dad, and finally call her by name (we haven't decided yet!).Smile Of course, I am sure I'll be a nervous wreck once I enter my mid-late 30 weeks, but until then I am going to hope that the last tri will be good to me like the first two.

  • I'm feeling good about starting my 3rd soon. Just worried about money right now. There are some things I want to buy for the nursery, but can't afford them right now. One thing in particular is a rug to cover up some of the wood flooring. It would be a dream if I could get some carpet put in her room, but I don't see that happening. I just want the baby to have something softer to crawl on. All the floors in the house are wood or tile.

I'm feeling nervous about the impending birth. This is my first time and I'm starting to freak out a little. DH is starting to doubt his parenting abilities. I'm trying to comfort him, but at the same time I need some comforting and he's never really tried to comfort me. Just keeps saying how he never wanted kids.

  • Psyched! Absolutely thrilled that I've gotten this far :)  Still worried that my water is breaking pretty much all the time, but it's natural to worry.  I can't wait to meet this little one!

Two more weeks until I reach the third tri mark, but today I had a mini crisis thinking about the cost of a new baby.  I am nervouuus about it all, but I know it all works out and sacrifices are made and it's just life.

I am most concerned about preterm labor.  I just keep praying baby stays put and cooks!

I'll feel better once I hit 30 weeks, just for personal reasons. I've been nervous the whole time and I'm not sure that will ever go away.

  • I'm loving 3rd tri so far...cant believe after tomorrow's appointment I start going in every 2 weeks! When I was in the last time and they reminded me of that fact, that's when it really hit that we're in the home stretch, and there's no turning back! We're gonna have a little boy to take care of any minute! I think my biggest concern (besides money in general) is daycare...We havent even started looking into daycare options, pricing, etc. and we're already in the "less than 3 months left" category! Plus DH's schedule depends on his boss's wife's work schedule, so his day off can change at random, and I'm trying to move out of my current position at work into something with a little bit more flexibility in hours, so that maybe if we're lucky we wont even need daycare...but at the same time I'm petrified that nothing is going to change, and then we wont be able to find a reasonably priced, decent place to take our son after I go back to work cause they'll all be full or have a waiting list for a year and a half for infants...Man I just feel SO behind!!!

    Sorry so long. LOL

  • I'm in a class case of emotions! haha (Anchorman anyone?) But I go bak and forth every day about how I feel. Some days I'm super excited and I can't wait for August to get here. Other days I"m scared out of my mind and feel like I"m just not ready for this and hope that the next 3 months drag. Other days I"m nervous that the baby is going to come early and I will have nothing prepared for him. Other days I'm stressed because we still have so much to do to the house and his room and buying things before he comes. Haha so I'm all over the map. But we're starting to get a game plan in place for everything so I'm starting to feel a little better.
  • Excited and nervous.  Some of the websites I get updates on say Week 25 starts the 3rd Trimester and so according to those I already have.  I am not ready for that label yet so I am going with the start of Week 27 being the start of the 3rd Trimester.

The to do list seems to be growing more than things are getting checked off.  I am having my shower when I am 32 weeks and can't do anything with the nursery until after that.  I have all the stuff for the nursery on there; furniture, decor, etc.  I'd rather get it all done now that I can still move around better.

I am also worried about preterm labor but more so about the baby being strangled by the cord.  These things worry me the most.

But I am also very excited to be getting closer to meeting him face to face.  And having all the pregnancy uncertanties and fears going away.  I will also be happy to have my body back.

I actually feel pretty good these days. If anything, I'm just nervous about have 2 LO's. It's suddenly seeming very real. (If that makes sense?)
  • It depends on the day. Sometimes I'm really excited that it's almost over, then really sad because I FINALLY got to the point where I could enjoy it bc I finally have energy again and I'm not nauseous/throwing up anymore, then scared of him getting here and how it's going to change everything.

Labor itself doesn't scare me. Having a kid scares me.
