s/o hospital bag

What type of bag are you ladies packing?  I guess I really don't have a good duffle bag or anything, so are you taking a small suitcase?  I don't really know what to use!  TIA

  • I was thinking about this very thing last week and I found some nice rolling duffle bags on Target.com. I think that's what I'll be getting. They seem like the perfect size and the fact that they're on wheels will help out DH when he's hauling everything to the car.

     This one.

  • We used our carry-on suitcase for both mine and DH's stuff when DD was born.  We'll use the same one again.

  • I plan on using a duffel bag but if I didn't have one I would probably take a small suitcase.

I have a carry-on suitcase that I'll use, the Mr. has a small duffle bag that he'll probably throw some of his stuff in if it doesn't fit in my carry-on, and I'm going to pack the diaper bag for the baby (just coming home outfits and baby book -- I want lots of room in there for hospital freebies!).

  • Probably my nike duffel bag. My mom bought LO a pink under armour duffel bag (filled with stuff of course) and I'm strongly considering stealing it for myself. :)

Knowing me, I'll be packing the hospital bag when I'm in labor because I'm a major procrastinator, so who knows what I'll end up packing in when the time comes. Shopping bag? :)

  • I'm using my rolling carry on suitcase again
  • My husband is a pilot and travels a lot, so I am using one of his weekend bags. It's the perfect size. Only need a few things, so don't need anything too large.
  • I was thinking a zip close beach tote that i have but now I am thinking it may not be enough.

  • As I'll be in the hospital for around 4 days (it's the norm here) I'm going to follow the recomendation of the people who are doing my birth classes and packing two bags, one for while I'm in labour and one for when we are in our room. DH can bring up my small VB duffle bag and then after baby is here he'll bring up or my parents will bring up the big bag for the rest of my stay, my big VB duffle bag.

LMAO!  I'm normally a big planner, but not when it comes to baby stuff.  I am certain I won't pre-pack a bag, which means I'll probably end up grabbing something totally useless, like gym sneakers or just 1 slipper, and forgetting something crucial like a nursing bra.  Oh well.  Its not like my hospital is in bumblefvck.  If I forget to throw in a toothbrush, I'm sure I can ask MH to pick one up for me at the drugstore on the corner.
