LO not really babbling ..

 he s a very active kid. recently has learned how to shriek and loves to do that all day long :)  he says a lot of  OOOs and AAAAs and blows raspberries and stuff but not many consanant sounds coming out of that little mouth .  should i really be concerned ? anyone else s LO still not doing this ?  He recently had a hearing test which was almost impossible to get done, in fact the doc couldnt finish, but said he pretty much passed 2/3 of it. He responds to sounds and his name and all so i dont worry too much  about his hearing... any thoughts?

    My pedi said she doesn't worry unless they aren't babbling and using consonants by nine months. Aiden didn't start until a little past 7mo but now he is a babbling fiend!

    DD doesn't babble either and she's a couple weeks older.  I'm trying not to worry.  She turns to her name and sounds, she makes a lot of vowel sounds and the occasional "ba" but no "bababa, dadada, mamamam" sounds at all yet.

    I thought DD was a little later than some other babies here on thebump, but then one day she just started out of the blue and hasn't stopped. I want to say it was about 7... maybe 7.5 months? A lot of times they'll concentrate on one thing at a time, so if he's really active he may just be concentrating more on mobility. Same with DD.
