Something Borrowed question (spoilers)

I read the book years ago, and saw the movie last night.  In the movie, there's a scene where Ethan professes his love for Rachel, and she denies him.  I don't remember this in the book at all, but it's been so long since I read it.  Was this in the book, or added in for the movie??

FWIW, I really liked the movie!

    I sorta remember Ethan having a crush, but like you I read it forever ago. Friend of a friend said she stayed till the end of the credits and Darcy was in London chasing after Ethan. What's that all about? Did they hook up in the next book? I need go re-read these!

    Have you read the sequel, Something Blue??  I don't want to spoil the entire thing if you haven't.  I stayed until the end too and saw that scene.  :-)

    I'm almost positive there is no love-professing in the book. He just tells her that in the third grade or whatever, when she thought he picked Darcy over her, that he actually liked her.

    The second book is all about Darcy going to London to crash with Ethan! :)

    The movie was pretty different from the book, but it captured the heart of it and I liked it. Ethan was hysterical in his way enhanced role.

    i dont remember if it was in the book but i LOVED the movie! and how freaking hot was Dex? OMG!

    ps - kate hudson has some serious moves! that girl can dance!

    I haven't seen the movie yet, but Ethan did not profess his love for Rachel in the book at all. In the book Ethan lives in London and when she goes to visit him (after Dex decides  to stay with Darcy) she has a conversation with him where she tells him that he picked Darcy over her too. She reminds him of the time in 5th grade where Darcy supposedly passed him a note asking if he liked her (Darcy) or Rachel. Ethan tells Rachel that that's not what the note said at all. He says the note actually just asked if he liked Darcy. Then he reveals that he had actually liked Rachel but didn't think she was interested so he went out with Darcy.

    I don't remember (I just re-read it a month or so back), but now I really want to watch the movie!! I think I will have to wait till it comes out on DVD, though.

    I did read it but it's been so long I have totally forgotten! And since we moved I got rid of both books. I need to re-read them
