LO is on Similac Sensitive for Lactose Sensitivity. This is thefirst formula we found that didn't have her screaming from gas/constipation. We started on GoodStart but DD was just having pretty bad gas

Enfamil AR. LO started with similac advace..we switched to similac sensitive (gave him really bad diarrhea). So than we tried enfamil gentlease, worked fine but Pedi wanted us to try enfamil AR for spit up and to keep LO fuller. We have been on that and it works great (it also elimated his painful gas)!

Here's my tip: Seriously consider using a generic brand like Target's Up & Up. It meets the same FDA requirements and is LOADS cheaper. We started with Enfamil because that's what the hospital gave us but after talking to the pedi we switched and he never had any issues.
Started on Similac Advance but it made DS's reflux worse, so we switched to Good Start, which he spits up after every feeding...but no pain...We are talking to his pedi tomorrow about possibly switching to soy.
We started on Similac Advance and are still using it. She seems to do fine with it. I have a lot of coupons and checks for it, so I pretty much spend the same on it as I would the generic.
(DD#1 had horrible reflux and changed from Advance to Sensitive, but then finally ended up on Neosure because she wasn't eating enough daily.)
Allie ~ 01/26/09 ~ 7 lbs, 9 oz ~ 20.75 in.
& Amelia ~ 03/16/11 ~ 8 lbs, 1 oz ~ 21 in.
We started with Similac Advance, but had bad gas and spit up issues so switched to Enfamil Infant Formula, spit up wasn't near as bad but still had the gas.
After that we started using Enfamil Gentlease which worked great. She was much happier, less fussy, no spit up and not near the painful gassiness she was having.
However, since we are broke I bought the Parent's Choice version of the Gentlease, and it's working great. I actually like it better because the powder seems to be less messy and doesn't seem to stick to the scoop like the others did for me.
So I agree with PP, try the generic of the store you use. For the size I was getting there was a $10 difference and looking at the ingredients its the same exact thing.

This 100%. We would be using a generic brand like up and up or parents choice if dd didn't need a special formula. Also, it may take you 4 formulas to figure out what your LO may need. Ever baby is different and sometimes a trial and error is needed.
Nutramigen Lipil for Babies w/ Colic Due to Cow's Milk Protein Allergy as PP said it is the only one that she doesn't scream and have horrible gas on. It is the 6th formula we tried.

Enfamil Nutramigen lactose-free. No it's not the first. We started with Enfamil newborn and then we tried Enfamil Gentlease before moving on to the lactose free.
Right now we have to use Preemie Formula. We're using Similac right now. But as soon as we run out, we're switching to the Kirkland (Costco) brand. Much cheaper! And every pediatrician I have spoken with said it's ok.

We were on Enfamil Newborn from birth until about a week and a half ago. Finally switched to Similac Advanced to see if that would help our LO with her terrible gas problems -- it did. Much easier for her.
We avoided both Enfamil Gentlease and Similac Sensitive because of the corn syrup listed as the primary ingredient. Similac Advanced along with gripe water every other bottle has worked wonders.
We started w/ breastmilk and formula. Then we ended up having a super puker baby so we had to switch to formula only.(the super pricey stuff). we are on the premix of alimentum(similac). he spits up the powder more w/ water from the tap. so it's the same price since we would have to buy bottled water.
Re: Ques for formula feeders
#1-started with enfamil, then enfamil gentlease, similac sensitive, until we finally started him on good start gentle and he reacted well.
#2-started with enfamil gentlease, moved to similar sensitive and she's fine on it. We use the generic that's only $14 at walmart.
