... how many ounces of BM is pretty typical/normal to pump after that first morning feeding. I know, I know, everyone is different, but I'm just looking for reassurance that the amount I am getting is pretty normal right now.
DD2 is 5 wks. I haven't been pumping consistently at all, but am starting this week (I plan to look for part-time work when she hits 12 wks - currently I am a SAHM with no actual job to go back to) in order to build a stash. I never was able to build much up with DD1 despite my efforts to do so and often barely broke even during the brief period of time I worked while EBFing her.
The past three days I've pumped (a total of, between both breasts) 1.5 - 2.5 oz each day (I only pump in the AM, after her first feeding). Normal for this age (5wks)? Or should I step up my game and pump more often thru the day in order to try to get my supply up? I am never engorged and DD2 is sleeping about 5 hrs a night (she nurses ever 2-3 hrs thru the day).

Definitely give it time. I think it took my body about a week or so. I can get about 3 oz now from the side DS doesn't nurse on.
