Cold and Congestion while pg?

in Pregnant after a Loss
I got a cold and really congested yesterday.  I'm still feeling like crap today but heading out to work in a few here.  What have you done for this while pg?  I've been using saline spray for moisture incase that helps but not sure what else.  OPen to suggestions :)

    Around 14wks of PG, I got a cold and congestion along with fever while traveling.  I was so worried about the baby. I am try to stay away from meds. during PG, so I tried home remedies.  I didn't think anything I would try would help, but I think it did.  I drank decaf tea three times a day. If you have sore throat, salt water gargles actually do help.  Basically stay away from dairy, citrusy, and cold drinks.  Stick with warm stuff to sooth your throat.  Try to eat soups if you can.  Eating is the toughest because PG kinda makes us picky about our choices.  If you can take a day off from work and rest, that would be good. GL and I hope you feel better soon.

    I'm just getting over a sinus infection/sore throat situation. I did a lot of gargling with salt water and drinking hot water with lemon. I think the saline nose sprays are a good idea, too.

    Sorry you're sick!  I took Sudafed and Benadryl (also allergy season here) for my cold last week as needed and it dried me out.  Both are on my approved list from the doctor, so should be fine for baby.  Lots of sleep and tea.
