Has anyone successfully been able to get a hand print of LO and have any tips to share? DH got me one of those clay hand print kits and I'm skeptical of being able to get it. We tried a few weeks ago on these garden stepping stone things we made for the grandmothers and ended up just having to get a foot print. Even while she was sound asleep, the second her hand touched the clay, she would make a fist and smudge it.
Re: Tips for getting a hand print
This is exactly what happened to us with a picture frame for my mom. Sorry I have no tips for you, I'd be interested to see if anyone has successfully done it.

I just made DS's hand and foot in the form of a cast and in the form of a print. I cheated though and went to my mom's dental office and used dental impression material. The deeper the sleep the better. Also try to get them adjusted to the temperature of whatever your putting their hands/feet into first. Unfortunately you don't have the benefit of a fast set or lots of attempts so my only advice is to wait until your LO is really, really asleep and then try.
Patience! And help!...
It took me, mom, and stepdad 30 minutes, and we only got the left hand to come out clear. We taped the paper on a hard piece of cardboard. Mom held Landon, I inked his hand and pushed it on the paper, which he held.
