Another update...Had my baby girl!

Was having painful contractions, went to hospital at 2a.m and was admitted. Unfortunately not a VBAC.  Progressed to 7cm and 80%, 14 hours later the Dr. said it would be best to go ahead with a c-section. Her head was still high and it seemed that she had no intention of coming down. She was 8lb 2 oz.  So in the end, I have a healthy baby girl.  Not what I hoped for or planned for but this is what was planned for me.  It was emotionally tough to not get what I wanted and there were a lot of tears at the mention of the word c-section but I made it through.  Thanks for all your support.

    Congrats on your little girl!  Sorry this isn't how you planned for it to go but hopefully your csection recovery will be easier this time around.  My 2nd C was a great recovery, I hope the same for you!!!

    Congratulations on your little girl.  Sorry it was not the VBAC you were hoping for.   I hear the recovery with each C gets easier.  I hope it is for you.

    I'm sorry the birth didn't go the way you hoped.  I hope you have an easy recovery.  Enjoy your new little one!

    Congrats!  Making it to 7 with her head really high is pretty impressive.  I hope you have an easy recovery!

    Congrats on your baby girl!  Like others, I am also sorry that the birth didn't go as you planned.  It sounds like you are being very strong and I admire where you are with things.  Hope your recovery goes well and goes by quickly.

    Congratulations! And just in case there's any leftover disappointment: You had a BABY! You nourished and nurtured a baby into existence - how INCREDIBLE! It absolutely doesn't matter HOW she got here - YOU got her here healthily and successfully! WELL DONE! You are a mommy - the toughest and most wonderful job in the world. Happy Mother's Day and many congratulations!
