SS card ??

in January 2011 Moms

Has anyone here not recieved their's in the mail yet. I was told 10 weeks at the hospital, Jay is 4 m 4 d and I still have not recieved it. Should I be worried? Should I just go up to SS office?

I wonder where his card it at...

    We got ours a long time ago.  I would look into it if I were you.

    We got ours really quickly - less than 10 days I think.  I would check into it.

    We got our within the first month. I would go down there and ask about it.

    Yeah I would call the SS office and tell them you haven't received it yet....We got his within a month after he was born....

    ITA with the 'call' sentiment.  Hers took 2 weeks to get to us, and I had her on Christmas Eve, during a snowstorm in Georgia, and then there was another crazy storm that shut down all of the southeast right before I got it too.

    You may also want to consider getting a credit report for your LO and/or red flagging his SS# when you do get it.

    I didn't get my LO's yet either, I called you have to take in the birth certificate and a dr's note saying there is a living child by that name.  I ?'d about what if someone else received it they claim that if they are sent back to the SS office they just shred them and that is the likely thing that happened.  I'm concerned about it being out there floating around as well!
