This is totally off base from the rest of the names we are considering (Eliza, Molly, and Charlotte), but DH is in love with this name and I just wanted to get some opinions.
Thoughts?

It's different and not over used to me it has a little bit of a country feel to it . I have good associations with the name so that may infulence my decision. If you do use it keep the original spelling good luck picking between the names I love Molly and Charlotte!

It's nms, personally, but I don't have any reason to not like it. There is a really cute little girl in DD1's class with blonde ringlets named Cheyenne and my niece is quite the beauty

My youngest sisters name is Sheyenne Alexandra and I absolutely LOVE her name ... I do have to say that of your other names, the only one I like is Eliza.
Good luck deciding!
Waiting patiently for my turn.

Thanks ladies, I wasn't sure about the Cheyanne spelling, I didn't know if the pronunciation was different. But, if we do use it we'll stick the original. Still not sure if I'm sold, but I do like it.

Cheyenne, to me, is "country" bordering on redneck. A lower-class Savannah (and that is generous because I don't like Savannah as a name either). Sorry!

One other thought to consider. Some native americans are offended when their tribal names are used for babies. I don't know much about it, but I do remember a thread on another baby name board where a woman (who is native american) was very offended by names like Cheyenne.

Re: Cheyenne/Cheyanne
Meh. It's a little granola for my tastes, but it's not a bad name. Definitely go with the -enne spelling, though.
I think your other choices go much better with your daughter's name.
I have a brand new niece named Cheyenne

NMS, but nothing wrong with it.
I would say that if you're going to go with it, just spell it correctly.
Cheyenne: yes
Cheyanne: spell checker should have caught this

I have to agree. It sounds WT to me, sorry.
