Dropping a pumping session?

I pump before work at 6:30am and at work at 9:30 and 1:00. I usually nurse DD at about 4:00/4:30 when I get home. I would like to be able to drop one of the sessions at work because I'm a teacher and it's really hard to get everything done without any planning time. I usually get about 6-8 oz. in the early morning and 4 oz. during each of the other sessions. I have about 60 oz. of frozen BM and I'll be home for vacation in about 6 weeks.

Do you think I can drop a pumping session without compromising my supply? Which would you drop?

(DD still nurses 2-3 times overnight).

Re: Dropping a pumping session?

  • Can you push back the 930 pumping session a bit later to maybe even it out a bit more until the 4 pm? That way you can drop the 1pm session.

  • I'm a teacher and have no where near as much time to pump. I pump once or twice during the school day and usually have enough to send with her the next day. Ideally I'd pump twice, but I don't always have two "breaks." I hear you on the no planning time -- it is killing me.
