Part Time Day Care

I am looking for child care 2 or 3 days a week starting in July/August for my baby (he will be 6 months old).  I am in the S. City area. I have contacted all the liscenced home providers in my area and they are either not taking babies or don't do waiting lists.  Any advice?  Would you trust a provider you found on craigslist?  How far in advance should i try to call a family home dc provider? It seems i may be too early right now but i don't want to wait too long to have something.

    Hi There!! You can find in-home babysitters on either care.com or sittercity.com... I love sittercity for babysitters and nannies, but I've found that care.com has a lot of 'mommy-nannies'... SAH moms with only 1 or 2 children just looking to take in an extra child or two.
