I really love my Ergo and I think it's the best carrier for long term use, I've carried a 2 year old in it and now I'm using it with a newborn.I like this one also because you can wear your baby on your chest and switch them over to your back when they are bigger.
I also have mei tai type carriers that are comfy but much less structured than the Ergo. I can't however see myself using it with a baby that is too large.
I like my Moby a lot, it's probably the most comfortable carrier but it's also probably the one that needs the most effort to get it on correctly and my sweaty son will get us both soaked on a hot day.

I have a Baby K'Tan. For some reason, I'm "learning challenged" for things that are step by step like putting on a carrier/sling, and it seemed easier than the Moby wrap. The downside to it versus the Moby is that it's size specific, so I had to get a Small for me and a Large for Jared. (I'm guessing you and your DH would need the same sizes we need based on your previous posts.)
Somehow I ended up with three. A friend gave me her Bjorn. But I also purchased a Mei Tai by Babyhawk and the Ergo. I got the Babyhawk because it's good for newborns and doesn't leave LO hanging by his crotch. I bought the Ergo because it was on babysteals and everyone says its awesome for when baby gets heavier. I have a feeling my husband will use the Bjorn because it looks more masculine, but I've heard that once baby is more than 15 pounds it'll kill your back.
I have the Moby and I love it. I'm not the best at getting it on quickly, but DS loves it when he is in there. He can rest and I can have my hands free.
