Pregnant after 35

first u/s - no HB at 6w1d

I should be around 6w1d by my calculations with the RE. We have an amniotic sac, yolk sac, and fetal pole (forgot to ask the measurement) but no detectable HB yet. I have to back next week to see if the pregnancy is viable or not. anyone else have this and find a HB later? (xpost to st tri)

  • Yep, me too, with Margaux.  It was a heck of a week, very stressful!

Oh Monica, I hope it's okay! I had something similar at 6 weeks - my betas hadn't risen enough and they suspected an ectopic pregnancy (actually with both girls). It turned out fine with both but was quite a shock.

usually it starts to beat at or around 6W so you are probably just too early to detect it today... I'm sure you'll be fine at your next check up.. GL
  • This happened to me yesterday, I was 6w2d and they saw the gestational sac, yolk sac and possible fp but no  heartbeat and drew another beta lever which came back at 24,829.  The dr was happy about the level and I go back next week for another u/s.  Wishing you all the best that it was too early to see the flutter!
