Me! I'm 41, DH is 42, we become 42 and 43 in December and November.
We've been trying since August, had a chemical pg in December, and are trying really hard not to lose hope. Under the care of an RE, have done one IUI, will do another next month if this month doesn't work. He has said all along we are perfect IVF candidates bc my eggs are still plentiful and in good shape, and DH's guys are plentiful and fast, though morphology is borderline. But we don't have 23K sitting around to spend on this, and DH wouldn't be behind spending that much $ even if we did. So unless DH changes jobs (the potential new company covers 3 IVFs!), which is isn't planning to do for a year, we are on our own.
DS will be 2.5 in early June. So the closest the age gap could be is 3 years and 2 months.
Good luck to you!

Me! We want to start trying soon (we haven't started yet b/c DH is still not 100% sure about it) and I'll be 41 in July. I wish we had tried last year but obviously we're not going to have another child until both DH and I are ready for him/her. I want a daughter but boys run in our families, which is probably why DH is not sure. Adrian is such a handful that it would be crazy to have 2 hyper boys!
Good luck, I know quite a few women over 40 who are pregnant.
Me: 44 DH: 42.
DS born healthy at 40 weeks 8/24/09.
TTC since then with no luck or ART.
Surprise BFP 8/6/14... MMC @ 8 weeks 4 days... Miss you everyday sweet baby angel.
Just turned 40 right after I conceived DD2. We needed medical help (Femara and hcg) for this pregnancy, didn't need anything for DD1. We are definitely done after this baby. Good luck!

Me. Had DS#1 at 40. Now I am 41 and trying for our second. We had two losses, but no difficulty getting pregnancy. This is our fourth cycle of trying and my OB offered to refer me to a specialist, I guess an RE.
42 yrs old. DS born 4/10/11 after 2 losses
TTC # 2 for a year
AMH .3. FSH 7 AFC 6
Doing a CLOMID IUI cycle
I am so glad I found this post. I just had a baby (I am 41) but we want to try again after the requisite 6 month wait....I feel better knowing there are others who think early 40's is not too late.
I had my third at 42. Got pregnant at 41, but was 42 by the time I delivered. There is a large gap between the children. First daughter is almost 11, the second is 9 - they are 21 months apart. Then I waited 9 years to have my little boy. I guess we just weren't done and we got blessed with a happy healthy baby boy. Good luck and don't worry how close they are in age. It is fun to have them close. My first two are such good friends. I wish I had it in my to have a 4th because I worry that my little guy will be a little like an only child, but I think we are done. I don't think have another baby in me.
Re: Any 40+ TTC #2?
That'll be me!!!! I will be 42 in October and we're trying for #2. I'm hoping it'll happen sooner than later.

I'm 43 and my son is 18 months. We aren't doing anything to prevent pregnancy. Unless you count not having sex all that often. HAHAHAHA
But seriously, if it happens, great! If not, I guess we're one-and-done.
