Help with a project

Hello,
I am in need of help with a project. I am in grad school to become a librarian and my final for a class required me to pick a portion of the population I feel in under served by the local library and create programs that pertain to the needs of the community . I chose same-sex parents, families and teens with two moms or two dads. My question is what programs do you think would be most useful to you and families similar to yours or teens with two moms or dads? I really want to create programs that would be legitimately useful and create a welcoming atmosphere.

    Have books in the library that are about same-sex families (both kids lit and adult non-fiction/fiction.) Have story times about families and choose books about different types of families (ie. Todd Parr books) and then have the kids do an art project about their family. Include pictures of same-sex families in all programmatic fliers to show acknowledgment.
