Banging Head

My 9 month old recently started banging his head on EVERYTHING, and I mean practically everything; my leg, the oven door, room doors, the wall, the tv, the floor, everything! As soon as I see it I stop him and distract him with something else, he doesnt seem to be hurting himself because he laughs or smiles while he does it?? why might he be doing this? anyone else have this issue? is it an attention issue? im home with him full time, so I dont see why he would feel like I dont give him attention...?

    I have read that some babies find banging their head soothing.  Strange huh!

    If he's not hurting himself, I wouldn't worry about it - he probably does find it soothing.  DS1 went through a head banging phase as a baby and he's ok!
