DH is such a cheap skate...

It drives me nuts how cheap he is!  In a funny way though...

A little background for this story: A few weeks ago we were at Dunkin Donuts and I got an orange juice.  He complained for the entire ride home that the OJ cost $1.59 (even though his coffee cost $2.05!).  When we were TTC, he almost died when he saw that a BBT costs, gasp, $8 and tried to convince me to buy the $2 non-BBT therm.  Then, when I finally had a missed AF, he complained about the FRER costing $10 and he wanted me to buy a cheaper one.

Last night, we were at Walmart because I desperately need a maternity bra or at least just something that isn't underwire.  Well, I went home empty handed because apparently D cups are hard to find.  (I've always been a C, but the girls are already growing).  When we got home, he grabbed one of my pregnancy books and declared, "The book says you should just buy a few pairs of comfy sports bras."  I can only assume he was so ecstatic about this because sports bras are generally cheaper than regular ones.  I let him know that "the book" is not the ultimate authority on pregnancy and I will wear whatever bra is comfortable for me.

If any one here watches the show "Everybody Hate Chris,"  the dad on that show, Julius, is an exact copy of DH.  And I tell him that every day.  And he agrees haha.

    Good luck! I am a DDD and had to buy my bras online. Otherwise it was crazy how expensive they are. I was wearing sports bras...I broke my bra about a week before my BFP and they don't provide enough support for my girls....
    I have short term memory loss. Do not take it personally if I do not remember you right away.
    No longer trying to conceive at all.

    I think it may be the husband's prerogative. Mine is the same way. And it just gets worse once the baby comes. LOL. No worries, I just find it entertaining at this point. :)

    Mine's just as cheap as yours.  It drives me nuts.  Bras are not an easy thing to buy, especially in the larger sizes.  I'm a D regularly, and buy my bras from Victoria's Secret.  The Body collection are the most comfortable, IMO.  Not cheap, but worth it.

    I pretty much run the money in the house but sometimes I'm afriad to admit to him how much certain things cost....like the box of HPTs I keep on hand just for reassurance until I get my first u/s. When DH married me he knew that I had expensive taste and I promised him that I would never live beyond my means and I can rationalize anything so he knows not to complain lol.

    My DH is not that bad, but he is also cheap. Him and his family don't like I come from a wealthy family and that my mom helps me out every now and then. The solution was to keep our finances separately. He pay some bills, I pay some bills and he has no idea how my bank account goes.

    Wow me and my DH are the same except it's the opposite- I'm the cheap one. I'm always looking for cheap bargains and he has to convince me to buy the better (more expensive) product. Although it is how I convinced him to go for cloth diapers- it's cheaper!

    Uggh, me too! Not looking forward to shopping for bras online. Uggh, the things we have to go through for our babies :)
