I knew this would happen someday

I worked at an evening event last night, so I got home late and didn't pack up my pump until this morning. When I went into the lactation room, I realized that while I had bottles, horns and the ice pack, I had forgotten the valve/membrane.

 Thank goodness another pumping mom at my office also has a PISA and happened to have an extra valve/membrane with her! I had to pump one side at a time vs. double-pumping and I didn't get nearly as much, but at least my boobs aren't exploding.

It might be time to order a backup set of parts to leave at the office.

    or get a manual (or electric) one-sided pump to always keep in the office

    That sucks! Those little suckers are easy to lose, too. An extra set is definitely a good idea. I've even had some tear, so backup is key.

    Lucky for you someone had extras!

    I left the valves at home one morning and DH had to drive them down to me at work. After that I bought a back up set of parts to keep at work!

    I have 3 sets - not for that reason but because I'm too lazy to wash them every day. LOL!

    The good thing is, they're not too pricy. Glad someone had one you could borrow!
