I was 38w and a few days 3cm dilated 50% effaced, Monday had the membranes stripped, bloody show every day and it increased on Tuesday. Wednesday night contractions were getting stronger but more than 10 mins apart. I had Serena Thursday at 11:45pm.
I had my membranes stripped twice with the boys and it didn't work either time. It hurt and I was spotting and crampy afterwards. Despite the effort, I was still induced.
I had it done twice (once that I consented to, the second time with a different doctor who didn't ask). The first time it was seriously painful, made me have bad cramps and bleed. But then the cramps stopped. The second time it didn't do as much. I ended up being induced.
My doctor said if it's going to work, it will work in the first 24 hours, but I don't know if that's true.
With B, I had my membranes stripped on a Thursday and went into labor the following Tuesday, so I guess it didn't do much for me. I thought it was kind of uncomfortable, and it made me bleed quite a bit. I hope it works for you!

This is what mine said, too.
What happened after they stripped mine? A big, fat NOTHING. I was so disappointed.
