Growth spurts suck.

Aubrey is definitely going through a growth spurt. She spent her whole day eating and cat napping. She's gotten used to our simple bed time routine and became a champ at sleeping at night (last night she did a 6hr stretch!). But tonight she's hardly lasting an hour and a half. This is worse than when she was first born!! I hate growth spurts so much - besides, I like her being this small and cuddly so I'm ok if she stays this size for a year or two Stick out tongue

  • Me too I feel like all I am doing is pumping at work so dh has enough food for the next day. I am so stressed about having enough that I don't enjoy anything about this bf'ing stuff! But I do love to hold my little man when I get home from work!

  • Elodie, too! It's been a few days of non stop neediness.

She did so well last night, though. Hopefully she's out of this growth spurt.

Hey lady - Do you mind sharing what that bedtime routine is? What time do you do it and how long does each 'activity' last? Thanks a mill!

I change her diaper and put her in a footed sleeper. She eats, burps and is swaddled (something we don't do for naps so she can understand the difference). I then rock her while patting her back and sing to her the same 2 songs ( you are my sunshine and say say my playmate) until she falls asleep. When she's older I plan on adding bath time to the mix. We start the routine between 9 and 10 depending on her last nap and the whole process can take 30min to an hour. Very simple but it has been a lifesaver! GL!

This is great, I was just telling DH that we need to start a bedtime routine with her, I am just going to add a bath in there before the bottle because she loves taking a bath and it relaxes her. :) Thank you!
