At DS's 2 month check up (which was actually when he was 10 weeks old) he was above the 95% for height (25 and 1/8 inches) but only in the 75% for weight (12 lb 13 oz). Since I'm EBF I'm always worrying that he's not eating enough; and he's not nearly as chubby as my cousin's baby. The pediatrician said he's fine, so I'm not too worried, I was just wondering if anyone else's LO has a discrepancy between their height and weight. (It'd make me feel better to know I'm not alone!)
Re: Height and weight difference?
at 2 months we were 12 lbs 4oz (75% also, strange?) and 24 inches long (90%) we are also EBF.
My LO is also not chubby and although I am not worried about some members of DH family are since there is another LO in the fam about the same age that weighs 16lbs at 2months. She is FF and overweight in my opinion.
You are def not alone. If Dr says he is fine and you think he appears fine then I wouldn?t worry about it!
I'm really hoping that's not a slam against FF.
My little man is in the 95% for height at 24 3/4 inches and 50% for weight- 11 1/2 pounds.
This lady at the airport the other day asked how old he was. I said two months and she replied with, 'He was premature then?". Excuse me? No, he was not. He is a normal size two month old baby.
My DD was always 10% for weight and 75% for height.

My DD was 9lbs 2oz at 2 months (10%) and 22in for height. Someone stopped me comming out of the super market and said "awww, a brand new baby" and I said actually she's 2 months and she goes "well, she just doesn't like to grow huh?" umm, no she's growing fine, just little! I was a little shocked at her rudeness!!
At least once on the weekend I get asked how early he was because he's tiny. I was tall and skinny and so is he.
No. not at all! Sorry if it came out that way!! I do think it is easier to over feed with formula than breast milk and I believe that is what these particular parents are doing. Although I know plenty of healthy formula feed babies and have no problem with formula in general. My own lo was supplemented with formula in the very begining.
This Little girl however is already getting cereal and baby food at 2 months, without the consent of a pedi, so that mixed with the amount of formula she is getting is contributing to a weight problem, not the fact that she is FF alone. I would be just as upset if she was that heavy on breast milk (she can?t even hold her head up, because her rolls do it for her, and she doesn?t fit in toys made for babies 4 or 5 times her age -- very sad).
Mine still does but she's only 2.5 months. I'm hoping to get a couple more weeks out of them. Onesies are definitely no issue for her, but sleepers are since she's so long.
