Success after IF

um.... my vag hurts? (15w3d)

sorry... :(  but i just need to know that this is normal (i hope it is anyway).  the sides, sort-of.... of my crotch... and my very low pubic bone region.... feel like pulled muscles.  it's not quite all the way to groin even, it's definitely vag territory.  it has been going on off and on for a few days now... only noticeable when i stand up and/or start walking.

normal? .... please? :-/

  • I had that from 16 weeks on with the Doodle pregnancy. My doctors said it was normal.

  • I have this now too, Gretchen. It took me a couple of days to figure out that it was pregnancy related...ha..ha...I was trying to figure out what horse I was riding for a day straight! That's exactly what it feels like to me. Then my husband (of allll people!) says, "well isn't your pelvis expanding??"...I almost fell off my chair that he handed me this pearl of wisdom! I made the mistake of walking all over the neighborhood with my dd, Lilly and lots of her little friends while they all trick-or-treated Halloween night. I literally couldn't get off the couch when we got home! It hurts! I hope your goes away soon. My worst pain has gotten much better now. Hopefully it won't flare up like that again.
  • Yup started feeling pelvic pain around 20 weeks - you might be getting it earlier with twins.

It hurt when I walked.  I found putting a pillow between my legs helped but sometimes I still get that.

  • Started at 16 weeks for me.  I call it "crotch ache".  It's from your body releasing a hormone called "relaxin" - it makes you pubic bone ligaments all gooey and everything starts to ache.  (And .. um .. it doesn't go away.  Until after you give birth.  But some days it's better than others!  And some days .. it's kinda worse..)

Accomodations you can make include sitting on your bed and putting pants on one leg at a time - and trying to keep your legs together when you roll from side to side in bed.  Get a pregnancy pillow too - I love my snoogle.

    Wheee!
