I mean -- yes, I'm planning a natural birth at a birth center. But granola, I am not. And this? This would be my worst nightmare.

I think it's always uncomfortable when people play music like ... just for you. What are you supposed to do? Sing along? Smile? So awkward. But during labor? Get your guitar outta here.

I think I would haul off and hit him. I just don't think I could stand it; I'm with you, no playing music (for me) during labor.

I think that would be awkward. And it would irritate me. I have a feeling I'm going to want silence when I'm in labor.

This for me as well. I might add the hauling off an hitting him in there. Depends on if I'm in the middle of a contraction or not. Wink

I actually would love it....not so much sing TO me, but just kinda in the background. Although DH is an amazing guitarist/musician and thats one of the things that made me fall in love with him.....he plays and sings most nights, its just kinda background to our lives at this point, and he sings to the baby girl each night. If I wasnt giving birth in a hospital, I would be all for a little guitar for relaxation. Maybe while in early labor at home......hmmmmm

This reminds me of MIL coming into the labor room before I received my epi. She started looking at the monitor and announing when a contraction was coming. She got booted just as fast as this guy would.
