My friend who lives in Florida just had her 3rd baby and her labor was so fast that she delivered at home just as the paramedics arrived. Her husband is a Physicians Assistant in the ER so thankfully he knew what to do. Mom and baby are doing great!

Wow! Glad everyone is okay! My sister accidentally had her 2nd son at home in the bath tub-- her labor was fast and she waited a little too long. Then since she had done it once she had a planned home birth for her 3rd child! Then recently my SIL's SIL (got that?) had her baby at home in the bathroom too! Thankfully both her and her husband are nurses :-)

My grandma had one at home accidentally. She had 4 kids and with all of them her labor was something like 4-6 hours max. Too bad I didn't inherit that.

Holy crap! Honestly, as quickly as I went with W, I might just camp out in L&D at 38 weeks (if we have another one, that is).

That was how I was born. An ambulance barely made it in time. Fortunately a paramedic was on hand to help my Dad catch!

I'm glad everything turned out okay. My aunt delivered her 4th baby at home alone on the kitchen floor while her kids were in the next room watching tv. Baby got there faster than the paramedics did.
