I could put it on extra fast-forward and watch my chart fill up with my temps. Ahhh! That would be nice!
Anyone else a Sims geek? I'm actually a reformed Sims geek... after I sent my 20th Sims 2 kid through college I realized I should really be doing something more productive with my time... so I gave my games away so I could quit cold turkey.
I never bought the Sims 3, but I wish I had it!
For any other Sims-addiction afflicted Bumpers, what other things about TTC wouldbe more awesome if life were more like the Sims?
Re: If life were like the Sims...
Sims 3 is my guilty pleasure - I seriously recommend getting it!!! ;o)
Well of course fast forwarding through cycles would be fabulous.
I also love that you can type in the cheat codes, get unlimited funds and change the nursery on a daily basis - that would be fun in real life.
I love the Sims 3, and I just got Sims Medieval. It's actually really fun too. I'm such a Sims nerd.
If life were like the Sims, I would FF through getting KU. lol I would just woo-hoo repeatedly until it happened.
TTC since 2010
lots of IUIs and 1 IVF all BFNs
FET currently on hold
It is kind of sick how much I loved raising kids in the Sims 2. My Sim really did have 20 of them. She had to take Elixir of Life so she could stay young long enough to birth so many Sim babies.
How many days does it take an infant to grow into a toddler in the Sims 3?
I would always buy a birthday cake and have then age right away. One of my other favorite things. If you are sick of having an infant, just blow out the candles and tada! Toddler

I own the Sims3 *blushes*!
If life were like the Sims, I could.... lay on the on bed with my husband, click "Try For Baby" and it would happen every time. If I wanted twins or triplets, I could just buy the "Fertility" Life time wish and would instantly have twins! Oh, if only...
CP - October 2011 (5 weeks and 6 days) BFP Sept 2012 (Round 3 of Clomid) M/C - October 2012 (9 weeks w/ no dev. after 5 weeks) BFP - December 2012 - Only 6 weeks after M/C!
Hahaha, I have/had Sims 1 and 2. Haven't played either for a long time...maybe I will tonight! I really wanted 3, but just can't justify the expense...
It would be great if it were that easy to meet people's needs. Just buy a refrigerator and life is good!
Wow, triplets! I don't think there were triplets in TS2 (or at least I never got them). I know in TS2, you were supposed to be more likely to have twins if your Sim ate mac 'n cheese before woo-hooing.
I hated how in the original Sims, your kids never grew up - made life pretty static and boring.

Yay fellow Simmers!
Sims3 feels like it lost some of the ridiculous silliness which I so loved in Sims2, but it is still fun. When I get frustrated with TTC I go and make a sim have tons of babies XD
And to answer your question: Hell I'd have given birth by now!! I'd have used a cheat-code and gotten myself KU on our first cycle hahahaha.
This thread is actually making me feel like I need to relapse into Sims addition and get the Sims 3.
To answer my own question again, it would be pretty great if after "Trying for Baby" you heard the little "Rock-a-bye baby" song in your bedroom to let you know (right then!) that you were successful.
Sims3 lets you choose from a few different lifespan lengths. Normal mode infants grow to toddlers in 3 days iirc. Or you can buy a bday cake and age them immediately like a pp said haha.
I like to set the lifespan to Long because I always got frustrated in Sims2 with never being able to do everything with my sims that I wanted them to do. I like giving my sims perfectly smooth little lives and have them be super happy all the time.
Haha we're such bad influences! If you do, maybe we should do a weekly Simmers Check-In
I am so addicted to my Sims 3. I still have all of my Sims 2 too! I think I love both equally. No. Wait. I lied. I like 3 waaaayyy more. Sims 2 nearly ruined my college career, but I've got it under control now LOL
I really wish I could just put a cheat in and have full motives all day and night so I could take over the world

I am so the exact opposite (or at least I was in TS2). I liked to make all of the neighbors fight with each other or cheat on each other. I guess with the way TS3 is set up, you have to stay with one family, and since it would probably be based on my own, I wouldn't be able to do the whole drama thing (I always left my own Sim family out of my Sim "soap operas").
I really don't have the time to devote to it... sadly, but I want it now! I love gaming, but I have so little free time that I have 3 games that I haven't finished all from last year.
Sims Medieval is on sale til tomorrow! It's only $25, normally it's $50.
Nope, you can switch between families. It's just a little more complicated than it used to be.
