Need an awesome craft for a moms day gift....

I would like to give my mom an awesome craft frothe kids for mothers day. She doesn't need "stuff" so I thought a really cute hand print craft project would be perfect. Something I can frame from each of the kids. That way it's sort of a time capsule too, since it'll have their hand/thumbprints. I LOVE meet the Dubiens blog and have some great ideas for a thumbprints hyacinth, or handprints owl, but i'm still looking for ideas before committing. I found a cute peacock too.

anyone have a cute idea they have come across?

also, with 2 kids, should I make the same project for each kid or different, like projects?

I think the messy masterpiece craft is an awesome idea. I know IHHM recently did it with huge success....I think she even posted her steps and everything.

You could do one and have each kid be responsible for one color?

I am doing this. I got a 12x12 canvas, and will have each kid do a color, or so, depending on how W is with it. I am stumped on a small saying though.
