LO is still only sleeping anywhere from 1 hour - 3 and a half hours a night. Only about 3 or 4 times has he slept for more then 3 and a half hours. Even if he does sleep between 3 and 5 hours, he will then eat and go back to sleep but then wake up every hour and a half after that.
Anyone else? When will he start sleeping longer? I don't even care about STTN, I just want more then 1-3 hours of sleep at a time cause I'm going back to work next week!
Re: sleeping longer at night?
I am so with you and we're at 9+ weeks. Last night he slept 11-3 which is fine I guess, but then after eating and getting him back down at 3:45 he was up again at 4:45! I always try a paci and just snuggling to see if he'll go back to sleep, but nope, he was hungry. Back to sleep at 5:15 but then crying at 5:45. This time I just pulled him into bed and he slept on me until 7 when DS1 woke up.
This is killing me. I wish I had an answer.
I'm right there with you. I'm so jealous of all of these moms who are reporting that their babies sleep in their crib, 9-11 hours straight every night and have since 6 weeks. My DD sleeps in 3 hour chunks, usually, but toward morning it turns into 1-2 hours, or even just 45 minutes. She's almost 11 weeks. They say that 90% of babies will SSTN by 3 months, so we'll see. We do co-sleep, so that may be causing her to wake up more often...she gets a whiff of the boob and decides she's hungry even if she just ate 2 hours before. We're planning to transition her to her crib when she's a little over 3 months, and hopefully that will help her sleep longer.
Yup, but it seems to make no difference. The one time he did sleep 6 hours he actually went to sleep 2 hours after nursing. Makes no sense.
Oh and it looks like our LOs were born the same day
