diarrhea = teething?

my poor E has the runs. she's been going 4-5x a day since monday. it's not all watery though. she does not have any fever or vomiting. i'm hoping it's just from something i ate or from what i read can also be related to teething? have you experienced the same thing? day care doesnt take babies with diarrhea so im home with her today.

    I have heard that, but since A still doesn't have any teeth yet I'm not sure.  But I have heard everything from right before a tooth pops out they can get sick, get a bad diaper rash, diarrhea...all the fun stuff!  Stick out tongue

    Yes...if my memory serves me correct, I think the only time my DD had diarrhea as an infant was when she first started teething.

    Look out for diaper rash also!

    yeah we have both! :(. the rashes are nearer the anus and nothing up front. i hope it's just teething and nothing more serious.

    Awwww, I'm sorry :( 

    I remember we would let Cassie "air out" a few hours at night so her booty could get some relief :) We would just lay out a good stack of towels inside of her crib in case she made a mess :)

    yeah, i was airing out her butt his morning and then she went...on the changing pad!! lol. good thing i put a prefold underneath her bum so it was able to catch everything lol. i am crossing my fingers my fingers that the end is near. she has only gone twice today and both of them was this morning. nothing (yet) this afternoon.

    Ashton always has running poo (still does) so I'm no help, but I do think I've read that teething can cause the runs.

    It doesn't happen with Will and Dash (and thank god, because they've been teething nonstop since 11 weeks lol), but I've heard this is pretty common. I wouldn't stress unless it's really severe or you're worried about dehydration. Smile

    it happens to us when his teeth are bothering him a lot.  

    This morning he had a 102.4 fever but the dr said it's probably just a virus - his eye teeth are coming in, so I'm guessing it's that. 

    Drs say there is no causality there (with the teething/fever), but it's certainly been correlated with every tooth he's had come in!

    finally, diarrhea is gone! she was well enough to go to day care today. she pooped 2x and it's not runny anymore :-).
