So we are second guessing our name choice

The other night both myself and my DH confessed that we both aren't 100% happy with the name we have picked out, which is Jaxson. I did some more searching and I love the name Jamison, but my DH is still unsure.

Any thoughts on Jamison??

I think Jamison with an I is being used more for girls lately. I like the name but would you consider Jameson with an E to make it more masculine?

I know a lot of people who have named their kiddo's Jaxson so I'd stay away from that, but that's just me.

I really like Jamison. That's super cute. It's different, too. So it's not like he'd have 3 kids in his class with his name.

I am not a fan of "Jaxson" spelled that way (FWIW, my LO will be Jackson) but I like traditional spellings.

Jameson with an E I like, with an I not so much. Either way I think of whiskey, but that may be because I am pouting since no giant margarita for cinco de mayo this year

I'm not a fan of Jaxon or Jamison.

A LOT of women are using the name Jamison for a girl nowadays as well.

I'd say go back to the drawing board.

We are naming our son Jameson. So of course I love it!! We decided that Jameson is great because there are a lot of nick name choices and if he decides to be some big shot later in life he's not stuck with some name that won't look good under an oil painting of him in some hallway someday. Wink

My friend has a brother named Jamison (spelled with an I). He goes by Jaime or Jamison. I think it is a strong, male name. Go for it!

I really like Jameson (spelt that way). The first thing that comes to mind is the whiskey but I could move past that! I'm surprised by the number of people saying they've heard it as a girl name, sounds so masculine to me.

I really like Jameson. Jaxson is ok... I prefer Jackson, it looks much less trendy.

Jameson for a girl makes me want to barf. The name means SON OF JAMES. Why would you give that name to your girl?

I like Jackson spelled without the "x". My husband and I were thinking of that if we had a boy. Jamison is ok but it makes me think of that porn star Jenna Jamison- what about just Jamie- useful for boy or girl?
